ABOUT ME

Let's Get Acquainted

Dr. Sarah Manongdo-Joya received her doctorate degree from Illinois College of Optometry in 2005. She has been working for America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses for over 18 years.  She is honored to be chosen as one of three doctors invited to sit on the company's 2020 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, as well as one of ten doctors chosen to be 2021 NVI Ambassadors for the National Vision, Inc..  In September 2022 she accepted the position of Regional Recruiting Director, Optometrists (IL, MI, MN, MO). She has extensive recruiting, mentoring, and leadership experience and is happy to join the professional affairs team to help grow and support the doctor of optometry network. She continues to be a prolific writer with several optometric publications under her belt.

She is currently enrolled to obtain her Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, on track to receive her degree in 2026.

Dr. Joya will continue to see patients once a month. Her monthly schedule is updated regularly, bookmark the link for future use.

She moved to Oak Park in 2015 and lives in a boisterous male household where she is outnumbered 4-to-one with Oak Park native hubs, two adorable boys, and a rescue pup named Samurai.

Dr. Joya is trilingual and can conduct eye exams in Spanish and Tagalog (Filipino). She is active in the Oak Park community IRL and online and is thrilled to practice close to home. For fun, she loves to cook, promote local businesses she loves, share funny memes, host fundraisers for the school/community, and purchase fiction books she will someday read.
