My dog scratched my eye in the middle of the night. Ouch. Of course my eye doctor was off having team building day. Was about to go to the ER when we remembered Dr. Sarah might be available and way easier. I was able to get into the Forest Park location quickly and I did indeed have a scratched eye, my first! I’ve been a patient of Dr. Sarah Joya’s for several years, so when I knew she was in Northlake on Wednesday it was a must to make the trek there! It was an incredible experience! I felt like I was a valued customer by the staff, and the exam was top notch! When I had clinical questions, Dr. Joya had the best answer! She walked me through my fundus photos, FDT results, and current pressures. I walked away with confidence in my eye health and pristine vision! Now, next year I hope to see her in Forest Park! I had a terrific appointment with Dr. Sarah last week in Forest Park. It was my first eye exam, and I was not exactly thrilled to be there, but Dr, Sarah did a great job of putting me at ease. The store was quite busy, but I did not feel at all rushed, and she took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is super easy to talk to. I visited Americas Best eye glasses only because of Sarah. I went with my 9 yr old and we both got our eyes examined. While my 9yr old walked away with a confirmation of her 20/20 vision, I was not that lucky. I got my progressives, another reminder of my advancing years. Love, love, love that the process of scheduling an appt was so easy, and the Forest Park location was super convenient. Dr. Joya made my son feel comfortable and explained everything to him so well. He was able to explain to me after his appointment exactly what the issue was with his vision and why glasses were needed. He was apprehensive about the exam and worried something might be wrong with his vision that required, but left reassured and excited to get some cool specs. I finally made an appointment with the legendary Dr. Joya this past week. The process of scheduling was so easy, and the Forest Park location made the trip super convenient. Dr. Joya is so engaged and patient, and walked me through the whole exam (my first retinal scan!). It was one of the most comprehensive eye exams I've had, and I feel like I finally have the right fit with my prescription. I'm so pleased, I'm scheduling the rest of my family for their exams ASAP. 09/07/2021 FOREST PARK LOCATION I'd been seeing the same eye doctor since I was a kid. When I moved to Oak Park, I still made the trek out to Palos to see him. Not surprisingly, that inconvenience just wasn't doable anymore with busy lives and schedules. I'd heard wonderful things about Dr. Joya and decided to give her a try. I'm glad I did! She saw both me and my son and we had a great experience! She made us feel at ease, explained what was going on and the personalized sign for my son was a really nice touch. Dr. Joya is a bit of an Oak Park eye doc celebrity and I had heard she was great with children and she did not disappoint with my son's exam. He is on the autism spectrum and can have a hard time when he's in a new situation. This was his first eye exam and Dr. Joya and her team were great with him. He had a pleasant experience which means next year when it's time for his next exam he should not have any anxiety. Thank you for making this a pleasant experience for him!

Brought my 6 year old for his first eye exam and Dr. Joya was fabulous! My kiddo told me he was nervous about the exam when we walked in and Dr. Joya made him feel excited about the exam with his special super hero goggles and the microscope to check his brain! The personalized sign was an extra special touch that my son loved. Dr. Joya was so accommodating with my kindergartener for her first eye appointment. She doesn't know many letters yet but is confident with numbers 1-5. Dr. Joya was able to work with us to get the kindergarten screening done with no anxiety and even some giggles. I specifically came to Dr. Sarah at Forest Park for my 4 year old's first eye exam based on stellar recommendations from friends. She was wonderful, patient, kind, funny, and able to relate to him. He is now excited to get his first pair of glasses! He had such a great visit with her that I scheduled myself for a long overdue eye exam and had another excellent experience. I'm so glad she is available at such a close location and hope she is at Forest Park more often! My husband is also schedule a long overdue appointment with her. I recently had an eye exam with Dr. Sarah Joya and she was simply amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for an exam! She is so kind and very informative. I’ve had multiple eye issues over the past year and she not only listened but provided me with a lot of helpful information. If it wasn’t for Sarah, I would have just been given antibiotics again as a temporary solution until my eye flared again. However, now I have an actual diagnosis and it’s so relieving! My 9 year has been going to the eye doctor 3-4 times a year since he was 5 and he always cries and doesn’t want to go. We decided to switch to Dr. Joya after hearing all the great things about her. She is very knowledgeable and gave us a plan and things to do at home to help with his eyesight. She was very calm and took her time with him. Dr. Sarah and America’s Best provided a safe and enjoyable experience for eye exams and choosing new glasses. First of the office has good COVID safety practices in place and provides a tremendous peace of mind. Dr. Sarah was so kind to my son! We were there for his first eye exam (required to start kindergarten), and she put him at ease immediately. She was thorough, answered all of his questions ("what does that do?" was asked at least 5 times as he pointed to her equipment) and was very patient with us. Dr Sarah is amazing. I followed her from her previous place because my son is autistic and was comfortable with her. This was his first time out since the world shut down due to Covid and he was really anxious especially because he developed some severe anxiety relating to all things Covid. She was phenomenal... she reassured him everything was safe, cleaned the equipment right in front of him and even gave him a special mask to wear to ease his fears.
